It was an extra exciting holiday season in Atlantic Canada for 2022 – Halifax, NS and Moncton, NB were host cities for the 46th annual IIHF World Junior Ice Hockey Championship! Not only was this a monumental occasion for our neck of the woods, but it’s even more exciting that Canada WON IT ALL!
Each of our six Coastal Inns locations took part in a contest for tickets to some of the electric matchups between teams. With each night’s stay at our hotels, guests were entered for a chance to win tickets to select games over the course of the tournament.

Logan was the Grand Prize winner in our IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship draw, with their ballot entry from a recent stay at Coastal Inn Moncton/Dieppe.
They enjoyed two nights’ accommodation at Coastal Inn Halifax while in the city to attend both medal round games on January 5th, 2023, all compliments of Coastal Inns. Logan and Randy travelled from New Maryland, NB to cheer on Canada to another Gold Medal victory; the second in two years!
The tournament was amazing for our communities to have had the opportunity to host. There was a distinct buzz of excitement & fun throughout all of Moncton and Halifax. Plus, the crowds an event like this draws are fantastic for local economies. We had a BLAST welcoming guests throughout, and this contest was even more exciting!
We hope Logan and his dad had an amazing experience – it was wonderful to have been a small part of it with you!
