Summertime means summer events! Fairs, Markets, and get-togethers, in general, are amazing summer fun, and with borders reopening and the vaccinated population growing, we’re seeing many make a comeback this year! Here are some of our favourites!
University town Antigonish is built around St Francis Xavier University, an internationally known school. One of the brilliant side effects of towns like this is the art scene which includes the Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre, which reopened for the 2021 season. Check out their upcoming presentations, and learn about their summer camps!

Known for their seafood, and sea views, Digby Nova Scotia loves to celebrate what makes them special. While nature walks and whale watching are always on the menu throughout the summer in Digby, if you make it at the right time, you can take advantage of their annual Lobster Bash, or Scallop Days!

You don’t need to be a broken person on the Halifax Pier to know where the good times are near the Harbour. Spread all throughout the city are amazing sounds of music during the TD Halifax Jazz Festival! Check out the up and comers, as well as the legends when they visit the City of Trees. And since they’re twin cities, even if you find yourself in Dartmouth, a quick trip across on the Harbour ferry means that you can still take in the Busker Festival!

The Hub City is no slouch when it comes to events, festivals, and the arts. Case in point, Acoustica and Acadie Rock are two great events coming up over the course of the summer. Acoustica will have a number of weekly music events throughout the remainder of July and August, there are plenty of amazing acts to check out. Acadie Rock runs from August 13th to 20th and features some excellent Acadian music over the course of that week. Be sure to check out as many as you can!
