As Remembrance Day approaches on November 11th, we are reminded of the sacrifices made by countless Canadians who served, and continue to serve, in the pursuit of peace and freedom. This day holds a deep significance across the nation as we pause to honour the bravery, courage, and dedication of those who have fought for the rights and liberties we hold dear today.
In communities large and small, Canadians gather each year to remember those who have given their lives in service to our country. Ceremonies, moments of silence, and the iconic red poppies worn on our lapels remind us of the cost of freedom and the courage of those who stepped forward to protect it. From the battlefields of World War I and World War II to the Korean War and peacekeeping missions around the world, the contributions of Canada’s veterans have left an indelible mark on our nation’s history.
For many, Remembrance Day is also a time of personal reflection, a moment to remember loved ones and ancestors who served. It’s a reminder of the resilience and strength that these men and women showed in times of hardship, and of the profound impact their actions have had on the lives of future generations.
The entire team at Coastal Inns extends our deepest gratitude to the veterans, active service members, and their families who have given so much. We recognize and honour the sacrifices that have been made so we can live in a nation of peace, democracy, and freedom. This Remembrance Day, we stand united in remembrance, humbled by the bravery of those who have come before us, and committed to ensuring that their legacy is never forgotten.
Lest we forget.
