Summertime in The Maritimes gives us all the opportunity to take in the culture that makes up our wonderful communities! From summer festivals to Taco and Burger weeks throughout our provinces, there’s quite literally something for everyone! Here are our favourites in the lineup for 2022.
The Greater Moncton Area has started welcoming live music back to its state of the art venue The Avenir Centre. James Taylor and Imagine Dragons have been through, and Jann Arden, Avril Lavigne, Russell Peters, and Sting are all on the horizon over the course of this summer. Start your evening with a walk along Main Street to check out the amazing bars and restaurants before finding yourself at the Avenir Centre in line for an amazing concert experience. Summertime in Sackville NB sometimes means a less boisterous list of activities, but as the town says, There’s Always Something Happening. SappyFest is making a return from July 29th-31st – this intimate festival featuring local artists of all kinds is one of Sackville’s best events. They’ve recently brought on a new Creative Director and we’re looking forward to what’s in store this year.
Crystal Cliffs in Antigonish welcomes you to the Crystal Cliffs Concert Series. On May 20th and 21st, they’ll be welcoming the Ennis Sisters, Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys, and their guests Anna Ludlow and Ian Sherwood. With proceeds to benefit the Aman Lara Ukraine Humanitarian Effort, this is an amazing opportunity to be entertained by amazing Atlantic Canadian talent, and help support those in need.

Ready for something different? Digby Pines in Digby Nova Scotia is hosting Kite Flying on May 22nd! This event offers anyone the opportunity to see and fly some amazing kites, all while creating beautiful memories. They’ll also be collecting donations to help with food accessibility to their community!

Are you an art fan? The HRM is hosting TWO amazing exhibits allowing you to see Van Gogh in a new light, and even some new angles! Presenting over 300 artworks, taking up over 3000 square feet of space, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to become ONE with Van Gogh’s work.
For food lovers craving some delicious low-and-slow BBQ, Ribfest will be making appearances in Moncton from June 23rd to 26th at Riverfront Park and in Dartmouth from the 30th until July 3rd at Alderney Landing. Texas Rangers, Camp 31, Crabby’s BBQ Shack, Billy Bones BBQ, and Pistol Pete’s will all be bringing their A-game this year – grab yourself a couple racks of mouth-watering ribs and join the fun!
