And while it is hard to improve on perfection, fall in The Maritimes brings everything up another notch. And with six Coastal Inns locations throughout the Maritimes, you can see the sights and stay in comfort.

If you find yourself with us in Sackville, a drive south will bring you into Aulac, home of Fort Beausejour, and Trueman’s Blueberry Farm. Fort Beausejour sits atop a hill overlooking the Isthmus of Chignecto. You can see for miles around, watch trains along the track, and learn about the historical significance of the area. Afterwards, drive to Trueman’s for some great family activities, some of the best homemade ice cream you’ve ever had, and a walk through their corn and sunflower fields.
The town of Antigonish is home to many historical buildings, thanks to St. FX University, but nearby is also an amazing scenic drive often referred to as Sunshine Coast, and the Sunrise Trail. Bringing you along the Northumberland Strait, it’s home to a handful of wide, sandy beaches and the warmest saltwater north of the Carolinas! If you love the beach in the summer, you should try it in the fall.
You can’t talk scenic drives near Halifax without talking about Peggy’s Cove. A gorgeous drive any time of year, the fall adds so much to the colours of the changing leaves. With beautiful coastal views of St. Margaret’s Bay and The Atlantic Ocean, you really can’t go wrong. Stop by White Sails Bakery and Deli on your way in for a sweet treat.
There is hardly a route to travel in and around Digby that doesn’t scream beauty. Nestled on the Bay of Fundy, coastline abounds, giving you amazing views far as the eye can see.
