Now, more than ever, cleanliness is top of mind. While it has always been a number one priority for us here at Coastal Inns, our current situation has made it even more present in our daily activities. Thanks to the governments and provincial tourism associations of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, we are able to take part in training as part of the Clean It Right training program.
While not a course designed to teach participants how to be cleaners, Clean It Right teaches hospitality staff cleaning methods with respect to our current situation given COVID-19. The program helps participants understand and commit to a clean and safe environment and will have long term benefits for businesses.
After completing the program, participants are tested on the materials and must receive 100% to pass. This allows us to ensure that participants understand the information and have the knowledge necessary to provide a safe and clean environment for customers and employees.
This cleaning program, while definitely necessary for our cleaning staff, is being taken by all staff to ensure that everything is kept up to date and as safe as possible. The Coastal Inns standards of housekeeping and cleanliness have always been above par, Clean It Right allows us to enhance our system, by focusing on proper cleaning and disinfection or sanitizing procedures of specific public areas, guest rooms, and additional areas.
