The last few years have been life-changing for all of us. Getting through a global pandemic was not on any of our bingo cards but we’ve finally reached the easing of restrictions. With a gradual return to normalcy, the whole Coastal Inns team at each of our locations is excited to be able to welcome more and more guests back. As travel lovers, we understand the many reasons why people feel the need to get away and we can’t wait to share the experiences that you travel for.
With the easing of restrictions happening in New Brunswick on March 14th and Nova Scotia on March 21st, we wanted to take some time and talk about the amazing things that you can do this summer throughout The Maritimes.
The last few years, we’ve been at the mercy of rules and regulations often limiting the number of people that can be in one place. Due to that, many of us would make any trips strictly Point A to Point B skipping out on our favourite ‘on the way’ locations. (Masstown Market, anyone?) The easing of regulations means that multi-stop trips are back in style! Do you love the idea of getting up early, hitting the road, and just taking your time, going wherever your instincts take you? Us too, and we can’t wait to do it again!
The Maritimes are a hotbed of some of the very best in craft breweries and wineries. The short distances between our major cities give us an amazing opportunity to visit several in a day and create amazing memories with our friends and family, and support the wonderful work of local brewers and winemakers. With dozens of breweries and wineries located near Coastal Inn locations, you might just find your new favourite brew a short drive away.
The Maritimes also loves its festivals. This summer could and should see, the return of many of our favourites giving us great opportunities to get to know a community in the way only a community event can. Whether it’s the Apple Blossom Festival in the Annapolis Valley, the Busker Festival in Halifax, or Moncton’s Inspire Festival, these events give us a very special look into what makes The Maritimes great. Keep an eye on local event calendars and websites for the things you want to take in!
