Who among us can say they aren’t dreaming of spring and summertime? We’ve had such a hard-hitting winter that the prospect of travel when the seasons start changing has taken hold of the entire Coastal team. You might be wondering why we’re thinking so far ahead in February; well, that’s easy. It comes fast, and as the weather gets warmer, we get busier. We know how much our fans love staying with us, and we expect the local demand for travel to skyrocket this season, so let’s talk preparing for spring and summer travel.
Coastal Inn locations are in six of The Maritimes greatest communities with amazing views, scenery, and culture to take in. This makes our spots popular as we’ve placed ourselves right in the thick of it all. If you love whale watching on the Bay of Fundy, exploring craft breweries in the Hub City, or people watching and shopping at Bayer’s Lake in Halifax, there’s a Coastal Inn nearby. As travel in the area continues to open up, our little corner of the country becomes quite the destination (which makes us so happy). We’re always encouraging our guests to make reservations well in advance so they’re not left scrambling, but this will be even more true in 2022. Just because you book now, doesn’t mean you don’t have any flexibility. Changes and cancellations happen, and we’re always happy to work with our incredible guests.
The summer months afford us some warm temperatures letting us take in some amazing beach and river views. One way to stay safe traveling in the summer is much like what we recommend for winter; be prepared. While you won’t need blankets and gloves in your summer emergency car kit, make sure you bring extra water, snacks, and appropriate outerwear for the activities you’ll be taking in. Extra masks, sanitizer, and test kits will also be great things to bring along while you’re away from home base and navigating local travel within the guidelines of the places you’re visiting.
We’re optimistic about what this summer will hold for the Maritimes. Be sure to keep an eye on websites, event listings, and social media profiles for the spots or festivities you want to check out. Local businesses have been doing an incredible job of keeping the public up to date and working with their community. We’ll be excitedly sharing information on upcoming events in our blog!
With Springtime just around the corner, and summer not far behind it, we can’t wait to greet you!
Safe travels.
