This time of year gives us two things; the dead of winter, and the hope of spring. Now, despite Shubenacadie Sam telling us to expect a lot more winter, it’s still a great time to think about getting away for a while. Whether that means a staycation at the Coastal Inn in your hometown, or getting out of town, or even out of province, there are some things to keep in mind.
Winter travel brings its own set of risks, the weather being chief among them. Snow, freezing, and subzero temperatures can wreak havoc on your vehicle and your travel time. If there’s any advice we can pass on to you when it comes to winter travel it’s “Be Prepared.” From vehicle maintenance to packing a roadside emergency kit with blankets, flashlights, and snacks, and even leaving early to give yourself time, there are plenty of things you can do to be prepared.
Speaking of preparation, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so if you want to do something for that special someone in your life, or if you want to take yourself for a weekend getaway, now’s the time. Reach out to us to book your stay at any of our six Coastal Inn locations, and let us know if you have any special requests. If you or your loved one has a thing for craft beer, local meat, and cheeses, or wants to know the best trail for an afternoon nature walk, we can help.
Travel is a privilege, one that we here at Coastal Inns love and cherish, especially when we get to share it with you, our amazing guests. We are doing and have done everything we can to ensure that every one of your stays is safe and memorable. Ready to travel? Let us know. We can’t wait to see you.
