Spring is SO close and we’re wrapping up March Break celebrations across our hotels in Atlantic Canada. These last couple weeks were a blast – with some great activities taking place in our communities – but there is still a TON on the go as we approach the end of March and head into April! Let’s take a look at some things on the horizon!
Moncton/Dieppe:
The Greater Moncton Home Show returns this year and gets underway on March 17th! It’s a local fixture with a ton of vendors and items that you will absolutely want to check out!
There are several musical and entertainment acts over the next little while that you may want to grab tickets for, too! Guylaine Tanguay will play a show at the Capitol Theatre on March 23rd – and Kevin Hart’s comedy show at the Avenir Centre on April 18th promises to be a riot!
Sackville NB:
Award-winning Canadian Playwright and Novelist Don Hannah’s latest play Resident Aliens will debut with Theatre New Brunswick in Sackville on April 2nd, 2023!
And for families, Owens Art Gallery runs a family-centric Make Something Sunday craft days for kids and families to create arts & crafts together and have some fun. These informal, hands-on workshops are a great way to get the creative juices flowing!
Digby:
The Shamrock Spiel is BACK at the Digby Curling club from March 17th to 19th! Catch some exciting games and enjoy a weekend full of curling. And from March 31st to April 1st – the Digby & Area Theatre Society will be putting on live performances of Anne of Green Gables!
Antigonish:
For an evening of music and delicious craft brews, join The Man in Plaid on April 21st at Candid Brewing. Classic rock and Maritime favourites are sure to be crowd-pleasers with his unique guitar stylings.
Halifax/Dartmouth:
Atlantic Canada’s largest home show will be taking place in Halifax from March 24th-26th! This is one for all the homeowners, buyers, renovators, DIYers and more! Make your dream home a reality at Atlantic Canada’s ultimate showcase for indoor and outdoor living.
Canadian band July Talk is playing a show on April 14th at the Lighthouse Arts Centre on Argyle Street! They put on an incredible live show and will be out promoting their newest album which came out in January!
And that’s just a small snapshot of what’s on the horizon as we head into spring! We’re very excited about the 2023 season and each of our teams have been getting ready for a big one. We can’t wait to show you the true meaning of Authentic Maritime Hospitality on your travels. Whether you’re on the road with the family for a local getaway, or amid a riveting cross-country trek – there’s a comfortable Coastal Inn waiting for you.
Happy travels!
