Fall is a great time to travel in Atlantic Canada. The temperatures are comfortable and the buzz of peak travel season has subsided. September and October are in the perfect sweet spot for seasonal trips – most of the sights and attractions you’d want to take in are still open, but much less crowded!
The opportunities to soak up the fall foliage are endless from any of our six locations in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Road trips, hikes, and quiet waterfront strolls take on a completely different feel during the transition from warmer summer months. The East Coast is a pretty special place year-round, but it truly shines as the leaves start to turn.
As the kids are getting back to school and into their routines, family travel slows down. Many of our fall travellers welcome the shift in tone from the hustle and bustle of summer – it’s the perfect time of year for a quiet couple’s getaway. If your adventures tend to lead you off the beaten path, our locations in Sackville NB, Digby, and Antigonish are fantastic home bases for sightseeing tours and hikes. For the foodies, shoppers, and urban explorers, our Moncton/Dieppe, Halifax, and Dartmouth locations may be more your speed!
Family travel might slow down in the fall, but it certainly doesn’t stop! Fewer crowds and cooler days can make activities with the kids more enjoyable for the entire crew. Hot off the heels of your back-to-school shopping trip and it’s already time for a Christmas shopping trip? Might as well make a night of it! Or, maybe you’re gearing up for a scenic Bay of Fundy tour with the gang. Over the years, we’ve learned that September and October are HIGHLY underrated for family travel.
We’re always sad to see summer go. But, we also love the changing seasons, fall colours, cool breezes, and the new faces we get to welcome with a smile! Whether you’re on the road for work, enjoying a quiet retreat, or squeezing in one last fair-weather adventure with the kids – we’ve got you covered!
